Wearing something eccentric is said to be modern fashion but it is also creative, innovative and inspirational. Body Shield is inspired from the Medieval period armours.

The collection's forms, shapes and colours are inspired from Summer/Spring 2000 trend—blockbuster Gladiator, Pepsi celebrity commercial, Jean-Paul Gaultier's collection.
Working on Body Shield Collection has been time consuming. Every armours are custom made and handcrafted. The project is inspired from different textile making techniques using metal.
Knitting of bending wires loops
Weaving of metal stripes as warp and weft
Metal embossing
Perforating eyelets
Assembling with chains,
Polishing for smooth edge finish
Air brushing
Creativity is inspiration and feasible imagination.
Initially it was an unrealistic project to realise. Different alternatives for feasible materials were explored. From a commercial perspective, knitted fabric could have been used instead of metal. But as it was about showcasing creativity and innovative, metal was used which was challenging and inspirational.
